Since the brilliant and entertaining Julia Childs left Public television, audiences have been daunted by the ideas and complexity of French Cooking...until now! Chef Bob Waggoner, who spent his first 18 years of life living in Los Angeles, is known throughout the world. Not only is he a classically trained French Chef and one of the few Americans to be Knighted with the “l’Odre du Mérite Agricole” from the Government of France, but Bob is a very “Salt of the Earth” people’s chef. Most recently, he has appeared on The CBS Morning Show, The View, and The Wheel of Fortune. Chef Waggoner was honored with an invitation by Gourmet Magazine to cook at France’s 10 Greatest Chefs event in NYC June 2008. He is the only American to have worked with three of the French Honorees; Gérard Boyer, Pierre Gagnaire and Marc Meneau.
Chef Bob has spent the past 13 years in Charleston, SC dazzling locals and tourists with his spectacular recipes, creating a new flare of dining he calls “French Lowcountry”. Bob has teamed up with film and TV producer Mike Kirk and they have created a new television series titled Ucook!™ with Chef Bob. This series will be available to Public Television affiliates across the country in 2009/2010. The series will also be available worldwide as the series is also produced and recorded in French. Bob is very excited to be able to stay in Charleston, which he calls his home, and share with the country and the world his new TV cooking series.
